I Suspect a Tide Change, Thanks Miley!

Who Owns My Heart - Miley Cyrus

I find this song quite unbelievable. It really saddens me for two reasons: it's mind blowingly generic and it appears Miley Cyrus decided the direction she wants to go. I'm going to use this as an opportunity to start watching current Disney music stars.

Miley is turning 18 in November. This is going to be where it all begins. I hope I'm wrong but I can easily see Miley go the way of Lindsay Lohan. *FYI, Lohan's name escaped me so I googled "drugs + partying + Hollywood + trial" and her name came right up*

But anyway, to this piece Miley crapped out. It is sickening how bland this is. This is pretty much a purée of Britney Spears "Toxic", Ki$ha, Katy Perry "I Kissed A Girl", Madonna with a twist of Lady Gaga and Sheryl Crow.

When an era of music dies it always fizzles with crap like this. E.g. Early 90's hip hop: Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Color Me Bad, etc. Mid-90's Grunge/Alternative rock: Bush, Oasis, Matchbox 20, Creed, etc. So yeah, I'm going to be optimistic but at the same time I have the bad feeling I know what's over the horizon: Watered down, overly-produced "Indie". Well, in the very least there will always be pleanty of crap to share on this website!
